CONSUMER RIGHTS

I. GENERAL INFORMATION

This policy governs the right of users to request the erasure of their personal data (the „right to be forgotten“) in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable law.
II. WHEN CAN YOU REQUEST THE ERASURE OF PERSONAL DATA?

Users may request the erasure of their personal data in the following cases:
  • The personal data are no longer necessary for the purposes for which they were collected or otherwise processed.
  • The user withdraws their consent on which the processing is based, and there is no other legal ground for the processing.
  • The user objects to the processing and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for the processing.
  • The personal data have been unlawfully processed.
  • The personal data have to be erased for compliance with a legal obligation.
III. EXCEPTIONS TO THE RIGHT TO ERASURE

The right to be forgotten is not absolute and may not apply in the following cases:
  • When processing is necessary for exercising the right of freedom of expression and information.
  • When processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation or for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest.
  • When processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
IV. HOW TO SUBMIT A REQUEST FOR ERASURE?

To exercise your right to be forgotten, please contact us at info@oncologycompass.bg. In your request, please specify the specific data you wish to be erased, as well as the reason for the erasure. We will review your request in accordance with legal requirements and inform you of the outcome.
V. CHANGES TO THE POLICY

The Association reserves the right to update this policy in the event of changes in legislation or internal procedures.
